Our History
The Woolooga Old Coach Trail Riders Association Inc. proudly presents the annual Ride for Angel Flight — a true country charity weekend held in the beautiful rolling hills of Woolooga at Turavale, the property of Ray and Judy Matthews.
This much-loved event brings together riders, families, locals, and visitors for a weekend filled with genuine country hospitality, live music, great food, trail riding, auctions, raffles, and community spirit — all in support of Angel Flight Australia.
The weekend kicks off Friday night with live music, a charity auction, raffles, food, drinks, and plenty of good old-fashioned country camaraderie. Saturday features the iconic trail ride through picturesque countryside, including sections of the historic Old Coach Trail, with riders stopping for morning tea and lunch along the way while taking in some of the region’s most beautiful scenery. Saturday night then fires up again with more live music, auctions, raffles, food, and fundraising celebrations.
What started as a local fundraising ride has grown into a significant annual community event. In 2025 alone, the ride raised an incredible $25,000 for Angel Flight Australia, helping provide free non-emergency flights and transport assistance for rural Australians needing medical treatment far from home. Since the inaugural Ride for Angel Flight, the event has now raised more than $371,000 for the charity.
The Ride for Angel Flight is more than just a fundraiser — it’s a celebration of rural community spirit, generosity, and people helping people.
